X5 Door Speaker Popping/cut out on louder volume

hi All, 2011 X5 TTV8, when i turn the volume up loud when connecting an auxillary device, at a certain point the pass door speaker will pop and cut in and out, which makes the entire audio system seem to cut in and out, if i turn it even louded the cutting in and out goes away but you can still clearly hear the speaker "popping", on low volume its all good. i tried a different aux cable, same thing. also if i listen to the standard radio, it doesnt do it until a higher volume than with the aux cable. is the speaker just blown? i adjusted the fade and left/right balance, but i didnt turn it too loud, didnt want to mess it up even more.
