Sabotage?

This is probably not a question to ask directly, but has anyone you know purposely 'damage' a certain part of a car just before warranty runs out so it can be replaced/fixed? For the record, I have not nor am I planning to do it.

Why ask the question then....

If you are looking at a 35i I wouldn't spend the extra cash on an extended warranty and just take my chances. At the end of the day if you can't afford repairs on a BMW, you should really look elsewhere.

I pay really close attention and hope that I catch anything that is failing. Then I hope nothing fail's immediately after the warranty expires. Just so you know the good will thing only applies on the original warranty and not an extended one. If you're nervous then trade up.

...I'm not really sure what and how you could sabotage something anyway
