Any Advice on Amp for 12" L7 woofer

I have a 12" L7 and want to install it in my LCI. I have a empty center dash speaker & I do have the woofer under seat. I take it I have a regular HiFi system because is not powerful at all at max volume, it's just OK

Due to the technology and bmw wiring should I be looking at a certain type of amp? Meaning digital,or special type?

Once the amp & L7 is installed I do plan on swapping out the interior speakers for mids & highs

A simple 5 channel is all you need. Take a look at JL Audio's X5 integrated audio system as an example.

I built something similar using bavsound speakers, an alpine 5ch amp, JL's signal processor and eventually ill get their x5 sub.
