X6M is here! but....
Got a call from my salesman at Crevier and told me my car was at the dealer. I got all excited and was already thinking of ways to get out of work to go pick her up but he told me there was a problem. During transport from Oxnard to the dealer, the driver's side view mirror housing got cracked and damaged. Now they won't release the car to me until they replace the part which will take another week!! I don't know if i handle another week! I was so excited to hear that it finally arrived but so disappointed that I couldn't take her home. I guess I can spend this week to buy more parts for her homecoming....

Looks like they have a lot of vehicles. They don't have another red X6 they can pull a mirror housing off of?
Not that every dealer would do this, but some would. Looking at their inventory, though, I guess it's all white, black, and silver. |

What they can't let you have it and call you when the part comes in ? I mean if it's just a crack in the housing not that big of a deal. Hopefully you recorded the mileage.

Well if you look closely at the pictures, the driver's side mirror is missing the housing and all the electronic components are exposed. Given that this is an ///M color, they don't have any they can just swap over. I had a hard enough time just finding a dealer who had an allotment for me to order but Don Crevier (the owner of Crevier BMW) gave up his spot (i guess he was ordering one for his friend) for me. It has already been almost a week so I guess I can wait a few more days - hopefully by the end of the week.
