x6 vs Cayenne sales figures
Lots of people cried foul when the Cayenne was introduced by Porsche. Yet it has become so successful that it made Porsche one of the most profitable car makers.
It has been over a year since the x6 became available, now there's even a M version, and still the x6 remains an enigma to some people. I'm seeing more & more of them on the street , so a thought occured to me. If someone have access to auto sales figure by model available ( maybe thru jd Powers/Desrosiers etc.), Wouldn't it be interesting to compare Cayenne sales figures in the first 16 months of its introduction back in 2000, with x6 sales in its first 16 months of introduction in 2008. I sink it vould be vvery innterresting to see how se automarket votes thru se pocket book. |

A link for this site was on the ZPost forum the other day. It's for North America so I don't know if it helps or not. Recession has been killing sales so not sure if it a fair comparison prior years Porsche sales. FWIW

According to http://www.lufteknic.com/news/?p=246#more-246 , Porsche usa sold 535 Cayennes in Sept. 09 while figures from above fr. bmw na sold 494 x6's in oct. 09.
Unless there's more data, i dare say the x6 is giving the Cayenne a run for the money. Now w/ the X5m & x6m...well, draw ur own conclusions. |
