This thread is such a train wreck...

In all seriousness, how the hell is that a Cayman killer? If you're going to have a thread espousing the value of light, relatively low powered cars, why did you just bomb your own thread with a relatively fat, large car that isn't likely to be any lighter than the E82 it replaced nor more powerful than the N54 versions of the E82?

Benefits of being lightweight. Discuss.

Something something two doors, four wheels, light weight, diesel something. This could be the BRZ STI guys. Discuss.

Breaking news: Lotus is offering the Exige S roadster for sale, but not in the US. I'm sure this has something to do with the BRZ! Read and discuss.

Man, I couldn't summarize it better myself... it's very true that one image can be worth a thousand words... the benefits are so damn obvious from the perspective you've just showed us that there's really not much left to discuss... except:

Why «we'd have read reams about the engineering prowess of founder Colin Chapman, who realised in the Fifties what other carmakers are only just beginning to understand now: lightness is everything»???????

Why isn't that obvious for BMW???????

Can you tell?????? Can you tell us why it was so obvious in the Toyobaru case?????

And if it's so obvious, doesn't doing the opposite look just plain stupid?????

Light cars, light girls and light girls in light cars and the world would definitely be a better place...

Light and powered by a mid-rear NA 3.5l V6 making 320 PS.

This is a thread where you can talk about any car that has to do with light weight no?
