Will the injectors leak to the point of wiping the oil off the cylinders or does reduced power stop the vehicle before this happens?

Does anybody know this fuel injector leaking issue in depth? What's puzzling is that fuel injectors are replaced with updated versions yet they continue to leak.

My injectors were replaced last year and a few days ago I had some bad idling though no CEL. I checked for fault codes and found one for a misfire. In testing the system it was noted that fuel injector 1 should be replaced.

So after so many versions of fuel injectors, they still continue to fail??

The point I'm trying to raise is could the problem really be with another component and changing the fuel injectors is just a temporary fix?
