Amazing! The performance kit and the HID DRL's make the car look extra special. I can now see the side skits and that you dont have side steps, which again IMHO look better. My car is Alpine White and I dont think my side steps go with the car.

It's hard to totally hide all the cables as they need to enter the headlight through the round cover.
Most are hidden in the area above the wheels arches as show in photo 1.

photos 2 and 3 show the cables entering the round headlamp cover.

Photo 4 shows one of the digital ballasts.

Photo 5 show the engine bay after install

Excellent...Thanks for posting the photos. So overall, are you satisfied with the results? Are they similar, in terms of looks, to X5 LCI or 5-Series GT lights? any problems or errors so far? Cheers

I'm really happy with the results, it looks amazing in person. It's really hard to take photos of them. No error codes and no problems at all.

I would say they look better than the new angel eyes BMW are using now on the 5 GT

When you say better, you mean they are brighter than the GT & X5?

Is that the X6M front bumper? Looks clean man. How much did you pay for those Angel Eyes?

The bumper is the BMW performance kit and not the X6M! Plenty of this group now have the performance kit install.

I think this could be the next mod!

Any progress with this guy? Has he given you a price etc?

Hey Guys,

I too have been trying different angel eye bulbs to get the bright white look. Having read Dannys original posting I ordered the hid kit from Alex. I agree with Danny that the result is much better than the photo can justify! At first I thought they were too bright at night and may interfere with oncoming traffic but Alex reassured me that there wouldn't be any problem and he was right. I think I was just looking at them too much. I love em! Let me know what you think.

Hi Danny

Yes I did the install myself, but only on a temporary basis at the moment so haven't properly hidden the wires as it was dusk when I did the install and was limited on time. Also waiting for a clip to be sent by Alex as one was missing, although Alex helpfully pointed me in the direction of a temporary fix. Will fix everything this weekend. It helped to watch Alex's Youtube video and your photos - so thank you!

When I first looked at them on there own at night I was convinced they would dazzle others on the road. Alex told me they would be fine and he was right. I think I was so taken aback by them that I was staring for too long and was dazzling myself... they are after all xenon bulbs!

I think they were well worth the investment!!
