BMW X5 Air Suspension Reliability
Hey, I’ve been considering to trade my F25 X3 in for a E70/F15 X5 I saw the E70 has Air Suspension. I do have a G12 with Adaptive Air Suspension and it’s amazing but I have no idea how it is on the E70 any information I could get? Thanks.

My 2013 X5 35i has rear Air suspension and it's worked flawlessly ever since I got it... I'm sure the day will come that I need to replace a bag... But I'm at 225k+ miles and have dodged that bullet so far..
I certainly wouldn't let that be the reason I didn't buy it... There are a laundry list of maintenance items that an E70 takes to keep maintenance up to spec... Those would scare me more... |

I think my 2011 35i had stock bags when I bought it at 78k miles.
Left bag failed at around 86k miles. Replaced with a. $50 new aftermarket one from eBay. Took like 30 minutes. Right bag is still fine. E70 rear airbags only come with the third row seating I believe. Not sure about F15. Good for towing because there’s no rear end sag. It’s worth it. |
