BMW X5 Air Suspension Reliability

Hey, I’ve been considering to trade my F25 X3 in for a E70/F15 X5 I saw the E70 has Air Suspension. I do have a G12 with Adaptive Air Suspension and it’s amazing but I have no idea how it is on the E70 any information I could get? Thanks.

The bags fail overtime, but they are an easy cheap fix using OE arnot bags.

My 2013 X5 35i has rear Air suspension and it's worked flawlessly ever since I got it... I'm sure the day will come that I need to replace a bag... But I'm at 225k+ miles and have dodged that bullet so far..

I certainly wouldn't let that be the reason I didn't buy it... There are a laundry list of maintenance items that an E70 takes to keep maintenance up to spec... Those would scare me more...

I think my 2011 35i had stock bags when I bought it at 78k miles.
Left bag failed at around 86k miles.
Replaced with a. $50 new aftermarket one from eBay. Took like 30 minutes.
Right bag is still fine.

E70 rear airbags only come with the third row seating I believe. Not sure about F15.
Good for towing because there’s no rear end sag.

It’s worth it.
