What exaclty goes wrong, is it hard to shift, doesn't shift, knocks, makes a lot of noise.
It's hard to know if we have the same problem, when we don't know what's the problem...

I'm getting a couple other problems with the car also like when I turn on my m-drive there is a squeaky noise coming from the exhaust my guess is that it's the flappers, also when the car is cold and I try to drive it it is very jerky, the transmission has been acting weird thought because it makes a clicking noise when I put it on park which that never used to happen

For the clicking noise, not sure.
But for the jerky feeling, have you tried to reset the transmission ?
Usually, could help.

Dunno for the X5M, but for mine, you put the key in, fully press the accelerator and hold it there, press the start button without pressing the brake, and hold the accelerator for 30 seconds.
Press the start button, then remove the key.

Start the truck and go try it.
