Constant coolant low message
Hey all,
I had a crack in my 2012 x5’s expansion tank. I Ordered a new expansion tank and cap and replaced the broken one with the new one. So fill up the tank, and bleed the system and everything is good for about a week or so. Well now I’m getting a perpetual “coolant level low” light when I start the car but the tank is full. If I drive to work (~25 min) and turn the car off and then on, the light is gone for the rest of the day. I replaced the coolant level sensor this AM and I am still getting the same message. Any advice/suggestions? In the expansion tank, there is the min/max level that seems rigid and in place. Should that level be able to move or is the intended design for it to remain in place? |
