Also, for those people with cats (because there are some still), they will speed up the failure of the cats.

I've been running 1.1 on the Stage 1 map for a few days now on a totally stock car. I haven't had the RPM's jumping issue like a few others have posted.

This is the first version of MHD I've used so I can't say if it was fixed with 1.1 for me, since I didn't use 1.0 or older.

Thanks for the feedback, right now it's having the RPMs more settle so I'm guessing it's an adjustment

Haha yea my x5 drives like crap. Boost fluctuations from 2700 to 4k. Trying to track down the issue.

But on a bigger note, I have a full stock 335i, I switched to E30 tune running e40 mix fuel. So far.doing good. That tune recommends dp and ic. But I'm stock. Insane amount of torque.
Oh I just blew my stock cp hahah. Finally at 21psi

So on x5 we have a bigger ic, dp is same. I'm sure we can run higher tunes like s2 with greater benefit since the x5 is heavy

Ouch man, that sucks about the E70 going through a "mood swing" if you will lol Hopefully soon you'll find the source of what's causing the issue(s) at hand.

Yeah I thought I read on the e90post you did the E30 mix tune indeed. No surprise with that OEM CP though lol Go with VRSF CP man, it's a pretty solid product IMO.

Regarding the S2 flash it could be VERY possible, I'd probably do some research on an "aftermarket DP dimensions vs our stock DP dimensions"

haha yea see my datalog. i'm guessing it's a vacuum leak somewhere, but i'm not sure. trying to hunt it down.
http://datazap.me/u/racermp/e70-x5-s...og=0&data=3-21

haha yea it took a week of 21 psi then a blow. i was expecting it, i ordered the phoenix cp from bms. seems like they solved most of the fitment issues. we will see.

yea s2 will give alot more torque. i dont think it's about dimensions, it's the cat inside that restricts flow. we can monitor exhaust gas temps to see if it's getting too hot.

X5 is still having that crazy boost oscillation I see. Pardon my memory, but have you tried a full adaptation reset?

Boost leak check? Boost Solenoid test?

hey , haha thanks, yea still oscillating. so far ive tried swapping a few coils from my 335i to the x5, all the adaptation resets from the app, visibly looked for boost leak, but haven't done a leak test or solenoid test. does it seem like a boost leak from the logs?

Hey Justin, Thanks again for this input. I'll swap boost solenoids between my 2 cars and see if it resolves it. I'll also try a leak test.

so if you check the catted on, then your monitors for catalytic will stay on. so if your state has emmisions check, it will pass if they require catalytic monitor.

so for those who have a catless dp, you want to check this off. this will turn off the monitor, also remove the CEL. some states may pass if 1-2 monitors are off.

Looking to get into a X5 35i sometime this fall so Im trying to plan out tuning options ahead of time so I dont end up going in the wrong direction. Im leaning towards a MHD tune.

If I have read everything right, the stage 2 tune will eliminate the CEL and deactivate the monitor so I can pass inspection? ( I believe NJ allows for 1 monitor to be not ready)

Do any of the OTS maps play well with meth injection? I was looking at some of the kits and its possible I go down this route at some point. Or do I need a custom tune for that?

Thanks

Look above at Racermp's comment regarding the questions you had regarding emissions.

I'm not sure if anyone on this forum has done a meth mix but I know on the e90post forum they have. There hasn't been any issues and I'm sure you should be fine doing a meth set up. If you have questions I'd contact MHD or Twisted Tuning aka Justin

Haha yea I saw his comment right after I posted. Looks like I should be good there.

Ive been reading a few 1/3 series forums with guys doing meth. Seems to be a lot of conflicting info regarding flash tunes controlling everything, piggybacks, failsafes, etc... stuff way over my head at the moment. Maybe one of those guys will chime in here or Ill contact them later on. Just gathering knowledge now, still a ways away from implementing any of this stuff.
