cameras malfunction

Put car in reverse "rear view camera malfunction"comes on with chime, all cameras still work properly.
Took car to dealer(still under extended BMW warranty, GOLD ) after nine days they tell me water got in the front bumper, I need two front cameras and the harness (not covered by the extended warranty) $2,200.
is anyone ever experienced with this issue? Thanks.

Mine does it usually after it’s been in the rain for a while or after a nice long wash. Same exact symptoms as you have. I’ve read that the harness is the main culprit. I will eventually take the front cameras out and see if I can clean up any corrosion on the connectors and see if that helps.
