Calgary speeding ticket advice??

So for the first time in a few years I finally got jacked this last weekend speeding. Was doing 114 in a 60km/hr zone allegedly. I have used points charlienpester in the past but may try calgary traffic defender.

Anyone have experience with either or advice. 50 over is possible license suspension and I don't want to go there. Points little more $ and may have to take course but it's not the $ it's having the best defence.

Thanks all!

What's that in old money then? 70 in a 40? Doesn't sound too bad.

Move to the US

I used to live in Vancouver, BC and 114 kph on a 60 is a big deal.
Heck, even 11kph (6.875 mph) over the limit is a big deal.
I agree with SteveMD, move here

They used laser, and I have a escort passport max the latest detector and the POS didn't even so much as churp to at least let me know I got a ticket.

I had the escort 9500ix escort before and I almost think that was a better detector

My passport quite often ghosts on KA band and does a lot of pop-ups for no reason

I should call escort and ask him where should I send my ticket to ha ha

I was wondering if you had any counter measures as it's almost a must with these cars. I originally bought the escort 9500ci but after getting 1 ticket from laser I switched out the laser shifters for laser interceptor . I have not had any issues since, I still used the 9500ci radar but LI has saved me many times.

In the US generally you need to get under 100mph to avoid a mandatory court appearance. In some respects I'm glad LEO is going with laser, there are more counter measures available for that rather than traditional radar. Good luck with your ticket.

Hire a lawyer, I would.
Most speeding tickets dismiss on technicality but maybe not this one, at least your lawyer can reduce it
