Just replaces factory wheel bolts with a stud/nut setup. Makes wheel removals 10x easier if you're the kind of guy who removes wheels regularly (I am) or if you want to run spacers...makes it all much easier.

I had two black cars before having two white cars and black car. Let me tell you: just as much (if not more) maintenance to keep a white car looking clean!

Yes, they're not always easy to find. Took me a little bit, but it was well worth the wait! My search radius was 500 miles though.

Nice looking X5! FYI the sport button means your car is equipped with one of the best handling packages BMW offers called Adaptive Drive. Only a $3500 option.

Luckily, all 2011s had the Adaptive Drive as part of the M Sport package. Granted, the M Sport package was very expensive that year!

Wow! Very nice!
Just picked up an 11 M sport for my wife. Looking to get it detailed as well. Just not sure I have the patience or time to do it.
Great work on yours

You really need a few hours if you want to do it right. The right products and materials make the biggest difference. Cheap products will just frustrate you. Or you can find yourself a good detailer locally and just pay to have it done...

Still....great work on your ride

Also, can you link me to the seller you grabbed those PIAA's for your wifes 135?

The seller name on eBay was "tekimoka". He has newer PIAA bulbs now that have a higher K amount called the PIAA 5000K Stratos Blue. I think he has them in H8. I'd choose that over the 4800K bulbs my wife's 135i has.

Salute! You are definitely one persistent hands-on guy. Your car is lucky to have you. I have always planned to detail my own, just to give it a wash and wipe then back indoors

BTW, awesome looking x5

Thanks! You do need to carve some time out for it, but I have a good time just hanging out in the garage.

Much better.

Make a big visual difference to have the bolts cleaned.

I will need to touch this up with some paint.

Already have parts on order to get the iDrive and the plastic surrounds replaced as you can see there is some wear 'n tear...

Well done and great job on the detail!

I severely dislike using the clay bar, but it does make a huge difference. Just takes such a long time...

The floor in the garage is Racedeck. Love it! Just wish I wouldn't have bought the white tiles. Naturally, they get dirty quickly so I'm always cleaning them.

I hear that; we spend 17 hours clay barring/detailing mine on a lift...
It was a lot of work, but totally worth it as it looks close to showroom new again.

So the battery went bad, the evaporator core needed to be replaced on the A/C, had two new rear tires installed, and I think that is about it. Will post some pics later on this morning...
