You are on the right track. Seems like most prefer the "eldor" brand of coils, but I bought Bosch and they work fine.
Be advised that engine will likely need some additional work. Before starting on plugs read up on the turbo oil lines, turbo oil return cover, and the PCV system. I would replace it all if you are tearing it apart. Oil burning is an issue as well, that's a whole other topic. I like my 2011 X5 V8, but it takes a lot of parts and time. Learn how to turn a wrench. :-) |

So I replaced the plugs and coils without much issue. As I mentioned previously, I just got this 2011 X5 50i and the plugs I pulled out were ngk 97506 (ngk ir silzkbr8d8s printed on the plug). Looking them up, they aren’t listed as fitting this engine. Did the previous owner made mods that I wasn’t aware of? I can’t swear to it, but it seems slightly sluggish from a dead stop. The new ones are Bosch from fcpeuro.
