Will Morimoto Xsb 3.0 halos work on my 07 X5??
Hey guys! Brand new to the site!
Just a quick question and I'm sure it's an easy one since I'm a bmw noob! But I don't like brightness the Lux angel eyes give off, especially the outer ring as most bmw owners. The Xsb halos are soooo bright since the leds are on the ring itself instead of an actual bulb, it's quite beautiful how bright and crisp they are on each ring! I do all my lighting need shopping at www.theretrofitsource.com and under the morimoto xsb 3.0 they have different size rings in MM you can buy. Curious what size I would need for each ring, and if it's a pretty simple plug and play? Or if the xsb will even work/fit at all?? Thank you so much for the help!!! |

Interesting, I don't think I've ever seen those referenced on this site before? I did a search and the only post that came up is yours. You might check with TRS directly? I'm with you on the LUX though - |

Looking at the install guide it doesn't appear you can just install in the existing tubes, you are supposed to drill holes to mount the rings then drill a large hole to run the wiring. I've seen some links for using a heat gun to remove the headlamp covers which is what you'd have to do, then drill onto the exsisting tubes? Or cut the tubes off then drill into the projector housing? Then run the wires through another hole in the housing then drill a hole in the rear housing and wire it up to the battery. Then you would reglue the headlight cover and hope nothing leaks I'm sure it's not terribly difficult, just a lot of risk. seems very similar to the e46 style led rings
