clock display missing!

2007, 3 litre diesel X5. No problems whatsoever, but occasionally it loses the time display! Just the time goes, not the date!!! Lost from both dash & satnav screen.
I've tried searching forum & web, but nothing.
Not critical, but annoying.....Any suggestions gratefully received?
