X5 M model year differences?
Hi, I am new here, but I have used the search feature.
I am buying a new family car (daily driver), and the girl and I have compromised...leaning towards a used X5 M. I must admit, there is another German high performance SUV we are considering as well, but I think we like the BMW better. We are considering low mileage cars from 2010-2013. What are the advantages/features of getting one year newer/older within that range? Did a really cool option come out in, say 2012, that would make me not want anything older? I will not buy one without an extended warranty, German cars cost too much to fix. Anything specific I need to look at when checking them out? Frequent wear items? Thanks for all the help guys! Get the extended warranty for sure! I have had $10,000+ repairs on it.
In 2012 (I think) the head unit on the navigation/entertainment system was significantly improved. I wish that was available on my 2010 X6M. Overall AWESOME vehicle!! Have fun. |

reminds me what happened to e60 m5: 2009 they start replace all CCC with CIC, the 2009 model m5 only gets idrive knob replaced with new CIC style, but still has CCC idrive, and BMW only put CIC in 2010 m5, which is the last model year of that car, maybe intentionally make a difference with previous model years to boost up the sale? |
