Front tire wear on X6M

I've noticed that the front tires on my 2013 X6M are getting very worn on the OUTSIDE? I bought it new and it has about 10k on it now. Most of the miles are freeway miles.
I was told at a tire shop that it's normal for the insides to wear first because of the factory settings but not the outside?

Is it covered under warranty? When I bought it, it had curb rash on one of the front wheels which the dealer made good on giving me a new wheel. I would think that would be justification to warranty the alignment...

If you are running the OEM Bridgestone run flats I am not surprised you have them cupping at only 10k.. They are bricks and wear like crazy... On my 5.0i at 15k they were completely toast.. jettison those RFT's!!

Yeah, I have the spare so I planned on it when they wore out I just didn't expect it so soon. My wife drives it most of the time and she is a very conservative driver unlike me

I have the same issue and am scheduled for an alignment on Friday. That being said I am worried it's not worth the money as most complain of this issue. Thoughts?

You could get the oem -.5 degree camber arms if you wanted to help alleviate the outside wear. The camber setting on these cars are fixed so the only real adjustment you have on the front is the toe. Other than that and checking your toe that's it. I have mine dropped on KW coilovers and have the camber arms, which has me at -2 degrees. I have my toe set at .3 degrees in. No outside wear or cupping so far on my pirelli's and its been just about 10,000 miles now. Good luck!

Not that it can't be a suspension adjustment issue but more often than not its the RFT tires themselves. M3- which Pirelli's are you running?

I'm running the pzeros', which are not runflats so I can't really comment if it's a runflat issue or not in my experience. They are a max performance tire though and so far so good.

I have the same issue. Early on I did an alignment, around 5k miles; since then the car has tracked straight and after around 10-12k miles the outside wear on the fronts has become noticeable.

I'm currently just over 17k and the cords aren't showing yet, but the last time I was in a heavy downpour (inches of rain on the road) the car was sliding quite a bit. I'm planning for new fronts next month but will stay with the RFT's.

FWIW...I did end up getting an alignment and my front driver's side toe was out. That was also the tire with the most extreme outside wear.

Of course the dealer tried to charge me an extra $100 to "re-calibrate" the rear view camera with the alignment. Total B.S....
