That would shock me. Jed York likes being comfortable and surrounding himself with non confrontational people. No way does Chip Kelly fit into that mold.

Hiring Kelly would mean too many uncomfortable changes.

Did USC hire someone? There are probably others that could come up - Texas, LSU, maybe someone else goes to NFL unexpectedly?

Helton was named permanent head coach a month ago. Texas and LSU just gave their coaches a vote of confidence. Between those two schools, Les Miles is least likely to go

I missed the news on Helton. Texas seems like a mess under Strong but agree they might give him another year. I just wouldn't be surprised if they decided to make a move. With NFL jobs opening, I also wouldn't be surprised if some big program loses a head coach to the NFL. Of course, he could take one of those NFL jobs or take his time and wait for the right thing in a year or two.

Sigh. Would have loved to see him succeed but communication upwards and downwards was apparently poor with him.

Maybe he will finally reunite with Mariota.
