LCI LED Tail Lights

I have an ‘11 LCI 35i. I once had a new 550i as a loaner (perhaps a ‘16). I loved how the tail lights would come on when I unlocked it. Is there any way to make ours do that, too, or was that simply a newer car feature?

I dont have Carly (yet) but I feel like thats something that could be accomplished in there. Maybe someone who has it can chime in

I have it, but don’t recall that functionality. I’ll check again.

Actually, it works if lights are left in Auto.
