New coilover option for our e70 x5 Bc racing

First off, I am not associated with nor do I represent Bc racing, I called bc racing this morning to ask if they have come out with any coilover for the e70 x5 application and got a call back from them saying yes, "is a new product and not listed online but Will be listed shortly". . This might be a good option for us that dont want to paid for K&w's or cheap out on D2's coilover . I have never used Bc racing before but willing to buy in the next few month. Below is their link, spoke to Jon he was great help.

https://bcracingcoilovers.com/collec...ilover-br-type

11/9/17

Place an order without swift springs option 14k fronts and 12k rears, will report back once installed.

This is great news. I have had BC coilovers on my E36 M3 for the last 4 years and the quality and ride is awesome. You can't go wrong with ride height and compression adjustability at an affordable price!

Yep I actually talked with BC last week about this kit. Working out details with them to get a kit in my hands asap and do some reviews. If it's anything like how they were on my E60 M5, should be a good option.

People have been running BC coilovers on E53's for a while now and seem to be happy with them. Personally I have no interest in limiting the utilitarian capabilities of the X5M with coilovers but I still admire how they look...

Anyone ask if they will have support for edc for those who would like to utilize it?

Very nice! You going with custom spring rate etc socal? Would be interesting to see a comparison between the coils with their reg springs and swift spring upgrade on them.

Swift spring upgrade for sure. I can't say what the difference would be w/o swift springs but was very happy with them in the M5.

I doubt they will make a system to support edc as that would require a good deal of R&D no to mention additional cost. I would imagine that the overhead is probably not worth it for the E70 platform.

Nice! Seems like a great price considering it is only a bit more expensive than a full shock kit.

Timing couldn't have been better, was about to buy some used airrex struts and deal with heavy air management equip in back although adjust-ability on the fly would have been nice. Picked up a set w/ swift springs - looking forward to see how they perform!

Awesome deal! Even before the sale price they are cheaper than D2 coilovers.

Those who ordered, did BC say if the camber is actually adjustable front and rear?

I am very interested to see how these work out for you guys. I had BC's on my F30 Msport, and they rode very nice once I got them dialed in. Curious how these ride compared to the H&R's on stock shocks.

I had these on my E53 X5 and they were great. Unless they have an EDC option, I'm sticking with my $200 H&R 2" setup on my E70.

No camber adjustment front or rear, we would need some aftermarket a arms for a wider range of adjustment up front. Rear camber / toe kit - http://iapdirect.com/kmac-bmw-rear-c...70-x6-e71.html - $380 is a bit ridiculous though.

EDC will be a challenge because the fronts will need to use a flexible shaft running to the step motors and mounted remotely as the cross bracing and engine partitions are in the way for mounting on top, it will be hard enough to turn the manual dial. Are there any edc controllers out there that you can set the exact increment between "clicks"?? Being able to play with dampening settings from the cabin would make life so muich easier!

I had different settings for road trips and performance driving...I've become spoiled by hitting a button to accomplish the same. Honestly, any lower and I'll be rubbing fender so I've got little incentive to change from my current setup.

It's funny that BC is rated as low cost coilovers with poor performance and reliability on other platforms. valving that is not tuned properly, mis-matched spring rates to the motion ratio, spring rates not accurate in spec, etc. Their only saving grace is cost.

Will have to pay attention to what feedback you guys have. Personally I've been quite happy on other brands of coilovers (AST, Bilstein, and GC/Koni; and the few I've seen that are BC on other car platforms looked very bouncy when following them. But also probably way too low too.

You also have to take into consideration what the settings are at, how low the car is riding and whether or not they are using the swift springs or standard. I've had nothing but good experiences with BC products so I'm hoping to get my hands on these soon.

Keep us updated, are you going with custom spring rates or whatever they provide?
