Does the X5M/X6M use air suspension?

I am curious about the suspension set up of the M. Does it use air suspension? Given it has variable rate and self levelling features, I would imagine that it is some form of magnetic or air suspension? If it's indeed air suspension, does this mean it is more likely to fail?

the standard 50i does, had it on rear of my x5 and I beat the crap out of it, never failed so wouldn't think this is issue.
