Smile

Guys,

Picked up the X6 on Friday.
WOW!

First Impressions are that the car is awesome.
Ride on the road is very smooth.
Plenty of Power, Those that have ordered the 40d will not be disappointed!
The HUD is awesome.
Really please with the interior especially the comfort seats.
Will post a full review as soon as I can get the smile off my face but in the meantime here are some pics:

Great pics. Very clean look. You are going to enjoy this beast immensely!

How is the engine sound when warm? You think its quieter than the 35d?

Just back on topic, did anyone know if I can get the Zenon Angel lights for the X6 in the UK?
I was hoping that the new 40d might come with the new lights and new rear lights that are appearing on the 5 series but it looks like they are still selling them with the old lights! Its so annoying, why have they just face lifted the X5 40d with new front and rear lights yet kept the old ones on the new X6 40d. I am really disappointed seeing the picture of dunzzys X6 knowing that they have not changed.

I know they are going to update the new lights on the X6 soon so i've just brought a new car and its going to be old within a few months! grr how frustrating.

P.S Looking great Dun! I bet you can't wipe that smile off your face

Hi I can't remember the what the 35d sounds like but the 40d certainly sounds quieter than my oly 30d X5. You can hardly hear any deisel the engine noise from the inside. From the outside there is no doubt that she is certainly a deisel but it's one of the quietest I have heard.

The 8 sped auto box is amazing. You dont even notice the gear changes.

Just got signed up for BMW connected drive today. So should be able to use BMW routes and google map data in teh car also.

Loving the HUD and the Dynamic Cruise control!

thanks for the update again Dunzzy. Nice to hear that it is quiet, and certainly great to hear that the 8 speed is working to perfection.

The problem i always had with the 6 speed in the 35d, was that when you push the first gear to the end, letting the car change to 2nd by itself, the change process takes about a second. very slow. I hope this is fixed in the 8 spd.

let us know later a bit more abou the connected drive and google, and what your impressions are of the active cruise control.
