Oh Henry that is a camera for you to record the video ahead of you. No just joking, If I am not wrong that should be for the High-beam Assistant.

Ok, can someone tell me how the high beam assistant works because I can't seem to get mine working! I have ticked the box on the idrive, followed the instructions in the manual but nothing seems to happen. Am I missing something obvious?

Also, I ticked the box for the welcome light so anticipating the low beam to light up after the ignition is switched off, but again nothing - although the led's on the door handles do light up.

Suggestions please...

How hard is it to move the stalk on the side of the steering column, when u see oncoming traffic coming?
Is the driver too busy texting/figuring out idrive to change high to low beams?
Does that sensor, the housing & wiring, weigh less then the switch in the column stalk? I hope so. The x6 is no light weight !
Does it make sense to switch to runflats, supposedly to reduce weight, then add back onto the curb weight stuff like self-closing door servo motors?
Seems to me if someone can close the door to within reach of the latch to close itself, they could easily pick up the car & slam it to the door!
If the airbags do not deploy, & the front windshield shatters b/c of road debris, that mirror & sensor housing is one heck of a projectile! So do we need a glass break sensor now.?
Can we ever completely idiot proof a vehicle if it's driven by morons?
Sorry, I'm beginning to sound like the guy on 60 minutes!

There is in the market. I use Go Pro (HD Cam) which I had already fitted in my car. The othe type is for accident recording. In the event of a sudden brake the cam start recording.

High Beam assist come standard in the X6. As for the soft close door it works great for me, It is really a good feature if I need to sneak into my house late in the night. Glass break sensor? No I dont need it.

Does the Go Pro also record when the park is parked? How much is it? Did you fit it yourself or you need someone to install it?
