2008 4.8i ekpm3 location help?

I have a 08 4.8i with 3rd row seat and for the life of me I can't find the EKP module.
does anybody know where the ekp module is located?

I already pulled both back seats out ( not the 3rd row seats) nothing under the seats

I semi pulled both back rear covers left and right and nothing behind there
I pulled the plastic trims both sides where the seat belt mounts and there's nothing.
I pulled the rear cover to battery and pulled the 2 rear covers where the fuse box and the amplifier is at and nothing! the only thing I see is the green fuel relay


THIS IS CRAZY THAT ITS NOT WHERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE AT.....
Or just my year of x5 it doesn't have the ekp...

Not sure you have one based on my limited searching. What makes you think you do? Do you have a part number you're looking for?

I came up with the same conclusion, I couldn't find anything on my year and model even it didn't show up on realoem

because every other bmw I have owned and on my f30 335i has one.

I had a problem with my x5 randomly turning off on me while driving, I swear it could've been EKP since I know they are know to be faulty with time.
but on mine model all I have is the green relay so I swapped that out and still had the same problem. but I found out it was the pump being faulty I had swapped out the pump and haven't had the problem since.

Is this your first port injected Bimmer? Just a theory, but I'm thinking that EKP modules are only found in direct injected motors.
