Best Mod Yet

The carbon was nice, the tune was better. This however is what I've been missing! Smells like the interior of a new P car. Good looking out Gatoferoz25!

Is leather wrapped dash not standard? I guess I should feel special, I'd just assumed :-)

I guess not. I have a loaded 2011 with a cheap Volvo rubber dash.

Looks perfect...I was always under the impression that all M's came with leather

Not sure if you have or are planning any type of radar/stereo etc. install in the future but now would be your best opportunity to do something stealth

Leather dashboard was an option. Wish I had it

Is that an individual interior? I've never seen an E70 with Sahkir, only Mugello Red or Cinnamon (which looks nearly orange).

Not mine, but I've stolen some of the pics due to their quality - http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...ir-orange.html

It's weird, I have leather door panels already, just not the dash!

Thanks, it's "near" mint. It's used for sure but all in all I would proudly rock this in my car. I will say one thing though, there is NO WAY IN HELL this is more durable (or even close to) the rubber dash. I would even go so far as to say it is fragile compared to the rubber.

Yeah crazy they didn't. TBH, if I had thought this was possible on my 63, I NEVER would have sold it.

I got it for $600 shipped to my doorstep. I honestly wouldn't have paid a penny more. I have to imagine that with install it'll be around $1500 total, but something I'll enjoy every minute I spend in the car. Had I not been in a rush to buy I probably would have passed on it. I just got a stupid deal I had to take.

That's a fantastic deal. Let us know how it turns out. Or, just leave it on your kitchen counter so everyone can stare at it all the time!

Nice upgrade indeed!
How I wish mine had the extended leather...
I do have window shades and soft close doors though...

I've got them too. Doesn't stop the wife from slamming the door every time.

What products are people using to condition the leather dash? I used lexol last and it just dries streaky and doesn't give a nice sheen to it.

I've been using Zaino Z-10 (Leather in a Bottle), although I hear its rebranded Duragloss DG-221 (Leather Conditioner).

Do this. It makes the leather nice and supple, with 0 gross cheap shine. It's almost like a matte conditioner. Also smells like an expensive leather bag. I've used it on all my cars and its the best, IMHO.

I bought a Leather Masters Cleaning and Conditioning kit after a referral from the F10 M5 boards...I haven't used it yet though.
