I can only assume the same happened in your situation, leaving the other bank needing a replacement...I'd get it done regardless because they're a headache when they completely fail.

Thanks for that...followed-up with my dealer...they looked up the VIN and said...bring err in (18 Feb)...I hope they do both banks. They did ask if I had any problems...I answered none at this time...not that I would be able to see if they were leaking.

I have a stage 2+ tune and catless dp's...this is my average mpg after getting new injectors...I think being catless has something to do with it

Notice how low my gas gauge is after filling it up and only 8.3 miles later...thank God gas is cheap lol

I wonder if having straight pipes has anything to do with the horrible gas mileage

Mine is in today for injectors. Looking forward to possibly less soot on the entire back end of the car.

Dropped mine today. SA confirmed the airbag recall but replacement parts are not yet available. Driving a new X3. Needs more grunt. And better seats.

9mpg? Dude, I have tune + downpipes too! + I get on the gas hard every chance I get and my mpgs have never dropped below 14.5... Has your mpgs always been low (before DPs and tune)?

Damn. Just did a VIN search and mine came up with airbag recall -

I'll start a new thread so this remains as focused on Injectors...

I have same mods and get between 14-15mpg daily driving and around 18-20 highway. Have you replaced your spark plugs lately?

Before the tune, dp's, and straight pipes I was getting between 10-12mpg...I've tried driving like an old lady in regular mode and still get 9.3mpg

I just replaced the plugs before I brought it in for the injector recall...I've tried using Shell, Mobile, and BP gas...no matter what I do it always gets under 10mpg

I know a lot of us here are tuned(stage 2+) and have catless downpipes...not sure how many of you are running straight pipes, ever since getting the new injectors I've noticed upon cold start the truck is even louder than it was previously with a small series of loud backfire poping...anyone else experiencing this?

My 2013 X6M was in for the injector recall yesterday. They found that bank 1 had the new injectors but all four in bank 2 were changed for the "upgraded/improved" ones.

Current dealership is 150 highway kms away....average mileage on arrival was 15.3 litres per 100km...or about 18.5mpg. On the drive home..at similar speed 120kph...it had dropped to 15litres/100 km or 19 mpg. On a long run...I was getting about 12.7 litres/100km....or close to 23mpg...so interested to see if this improves.

Current mileage...69321km.

Build date...Nov 12. Dealer maintained.

Straight pipes should have no impact on your MPG as all fueling adjustments are handled by the O2 sensors located in the downpipes. The straight pipes are post-O2 sensors and if anything might provide better flow characteristics. Have you tried flashing back to stock to see if MPG improves? If anything that would narrow things down to the tune vs. mechanical/electrical. It could be any number of things, but maybe start there. Other things I would test are compression/leak down, spark plug gap, or brakes that are dragging.

Just picked up my 2011. Injectors replaced and it's running great. I had O8 version. Now I'm ready for a tune.

i had mine replaced under warranty years ago around 18k miles (iirc). just complain about a raw fuel odor/scent upon start up.

I'm on vacation so I had my buddy flash the truck back to stock for me, he took it for a ride and told me that besides it feeling a lot slower, he managed to pick up a few more mpg(13-14mpg)...2 days later he re-flashed the truck and it seems to be averaging between 14-16mpg now

He told me that upon cold start the truck is insanely loud with same popping and backfires as before...I now have 2 black smears of soot on the wall in my parking spot along with black soot all over my back bumper every time he drives the truck...throttle response is a lot more responsive with zero lag. I'm gonna need to install some type of an exhaust in the near future to quiet things down and keep the soot off my back bumper...I'll take some pics when I get home
