Price Drop on 2013 X5 SAV 3.5

I received my 2013 X5 SAV 3.5 last month, drove for about 1,800 miles and decided since I drive a modded M5 V10, that the 3.5 was not enough! Took back to my dealer and told them I wanted to order the 2013 X5M which is only 20K more. My dealer told me I would lose $4,500 on my trade in!!! Is this normal? Have anyone seen such a drop in vaule in over a month? Thanks.

Thanks....I guess you're right Just got off the phone with the dealer after a little talk and I talked him into only 2K off, plus a 2.9 APR from 4.35 APR...So I'm happy. Going to close the deal now!

Question will X5 SAV Front grill fit the X5M front grill? Do I need to buy new ones. I was told from 2010+ they're all the same size...is this true?

You can option a 35i Sport Activity to an 84k MSRP if you check the right boxes, just depends on what options he has.

From just about everyone I have seen, the price difference between the 2 of them is around $35,000. Me, I would just settle for the 50

You should look at the 40d, you would be supprised how quick it is? and you save on fuel.

Base price on the 35i SA is 58.5k, on the X5M it's 89.7k. So it's only 31k difference with no options. As soon as you add M Sport, M Performance, Adaptive Drive and Premium Sound to get roughly the same options the X5M comes with standard you're at 70k.

I would, but the 40d is not available state side... BMWNA doesn't think diesels are popular here...

Yes...Why drive the X5 3.5 SAV when deep down I really want the X5M. Driving a M car there is nothing like it! The 5.0 is nice, but other than the third row seating...this would be the only reason I would get it. I feel if you can afford it GET IT! Can't see paying for something that I didn't want. If I would have keep the X53.5 SAV I would have been trying like many on the board make it look like X5M. So my hat is off to all you X5M drivers I will get mind in Oct 12, Till Then BMW have given me a loaner car for 3 months and I can't put over 3,000 miles till my X5M comes in. Great deal while living Germany my thanks to Barvarian Military Sales...Tax free cars, while I'm here and the tags are only $30.00. Will Post pic till then I will drive my 585hp M5 v-10 when I have a need for speed.

I believe the 35d is and there not much difference, about 20nm of torque. I have the 35d M-sport for 3 years and did 73,000klm without missing a beat and mine only had a 6 speed gearbox. The new 8 speeds are even quicker and more economical than my 6 speed was.

Mine used to get up and go, no problem hitting 240kph, would buy a 35d over the 35i & 50i anyday.

Just bought a M50d, power of a X5M and fuel economy of the 35d, perfect.

Go test drive the 35d and compare the power you will be suprised.

There's a few sitting on the lot out there, great deal on that Black '12 one for 79.9k, or do you really want the updated '13?

I was able to use my grill from my 09 x5 on my M so yeah yours should still work.

Just order mine last week. Getting the New 2013. I love the white color and no one had one in Europe. Almost got the 2012 X5M Space Grey for 78k Loaded Demo with 2000 miles. Like I said If you going to pay this type money... you should get what you want.

No Looking for great deal on a Vorstein Carbon Front Lip.

You don't mind me asking how much you got it for and from which dealership? and how long was your wait?

Problem with getting what you want is the wait, I started my journey with Bavarian in Jan., I may finally get my vehicle this weekend. What really irks me is paying in full for the vehicle and having to wait a couple more months before getting it.

Couldn't agree more - there's simply no substitute for M cars. Had my 50i for two months but realized that it just not going to be a M car in any shape or form. Lucky you that you only took a 2k-4k hit in depreciation, which is very good IMO.
