Wet Grip

While it's hard to tell with one drive in one video, those tires appeared to have tremendous on track grip with little wheel spin and sliding coming out of the turns and under braking! Hopefully we'll see these tires in the future if they really do work well in the rain.

Proportion of tire to chassis looks comical even with the modified rear wing to simulate 2017 spec width.

Good find OP.

As said by Lewis, if you want better racing and more passing, increase mechanical grip and reduce aero grip/downforce. Cars can't run too close together for very long because the car in the rear suffers through the lack of downforce from the air coming off the car in front. Funny when the driver in front purposely slows down to hurt the guy behind him, let him get close enough to suffer but not close enough to pass.

Assuming 2017 has more aero (looks like bigger rear wing) and mechanical grip (wider tires)?

I really hope that they changed the ration of mechanical to aero grip in favor of mechanical. These tires could yield much closer racing and a better show.

I was thinking the same thing - looks pretty aggressive for a wet track. First glances appear promising for 2017!

Proportion looked more balanced IMO.
The wide rear tires reminded me the 60's and 70's.

Next years front tires are wider than this years rear tires!! Going to be some immense cornering speeds even though they are shooting for a downforce reduction
