DIY: Adjust your headlights (Xenon only)

My driver side used to illuminate very little area ahead compared to the passengers, it was easy as hell to adjust them - Only need a plus screw driver (Hex is better but I dont know what size)

1- open the hood - obviously & park abt 30 ft away w both headlights on

2- towards the driver side, look down behind the headlight (far behind the headlight), you'll see a hex female nut facing the engine ... I turned it 90 degs CCW (to lift up) - I'll post a pic

3- Samething on the passenger side, I made it 45 degs CCW s

4- Drive and confirm this is the desired setting, I had to readjust coz xenons lose brightness as u point them further out, had to find the right balance

Enjoy!

I think my left headlight is a bit too high on my 2012 because I get flashed high beams a lot as if I had mine on but I dont
Can I adjust it down or that's self adjusting ?

Here is the proper procedure for the headlight adjustment attached.

Please don't just screw around and adjust the level... make sure, based on the attached pdfs, that you actually should adjust.

There is an actual device (at least in Germany at the TUV), which verifies the proper levels and cutoff of the headlights to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

Maybe the servo for the height adjustment (up & down) is busted.

First understand the root cause of your problem before you start messing with the adjustment screw.

It doesn't list the screw I adjusted, and my beam did rise up
