Looking at CPO 2013 BMW X5 xDrive35i Sport Activity

Hey Guys,

I am in the process of replacing our SUV (2015 Chevy Tahoe) that we are not really happy with, driver seat has issues that they can not fix. And build quality is just not the greatest in the Chevy, rattles and minor things that drive me nuts compared to my liking. I currently drive an F80 M3.

So I have convinced my wife to switch to BMW and we are looking at CPO 2013 BMW X5 xDrive35i sport activity with about 39k miles , I really like the look of the M Sport on this model and its priced reasonable at about 35k. Its loaded with all the goodies, Technology Package, Convenience Package, etc.

I know the model changed in 2014, any reason I should just opt for one of those? Looking to stay under 40k purchase price. Any thought would be appreciated.

You can get a 2014 all day long for less than $40K, but it's not exactly going to be an M Sport with nice options and low miles, nor will it be CPO.

All depends what you're looking for, really...

Personally, I'd keep driving the Tahoe until a nice 2014 comes along with the right options.

That's the problem, I really want the M Sport Package for the car, just transforms the look completely. If I bought a 2014 now it would be without the M Sports, those are all upwards of 40k. Also I would wait for a 2014 although I have a good prospective buyer for the Tahoe this week and don't want to miss the sale opportunity either. 2014 Lights, Interior, and iDrive are much nicer, and also get better MPG.

A five minute search, and I found this. CPO, less then $40K and has the M Sport package.

Wow, thanks for taking time to look, I'm not to far from them either. Might have to go take a look. Wonder How much I can manage to negotiate on that car, 2-3k possible? That one in particular is not the all wheel drive though, not sure If its a huge difference with all wheel drive. Maybe someone can chime in if all wheel drive is necessary..

My pleasure. I troll the Cars.com app all the time. Two to three thousand dollars should be very easy to get done.

If you really want to do it right, sell the Tahoe to your buyer as a pass-through. The BMW dealership will recognize it as a trade, you get a small tax benefit and the Tahoe buyer has the option to finance it through the dealership. It makes it safe for everyone involved.

It's weird how on F15 35ds, the cheapest has a ton of mileage. The 35is tend to have much less mileage and are cheaper. Too much supply I guess.
