The new kids on the block aren't misleading other members. Just sharing feedback and opinions like everyone else on here. You talk about people being biased but that's what you're doing by telling them that they should buy something you own. If you have heard the straight pipe setup and heard the Fabspeed, you can tell they don't sound the same unless you have the straightpipe setup and are just trying to back up what you own. I've heard the Megan which I also considered and definitely doesn't sound the same as Fabspeed either and obviously I liked the Fabspeed more. Also much nicer tips which is why I decided to spend the extra money and I could justify it. Stateneye, I understand that your just trying to stand behind Megan cause you own it which is fine but you can't say misleading garbage is being spewed cause of that. You can say whatever you want to try to sway people and pleade your case but the proof is in the sound and they don't same so you can't argue that. We all decided to go with a certain one, whether it was for cost, sound, or both but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter cause we clearly have different opinions. When someone says they want a specific sound or looking for something particular than they are going to go with one over another and that's ok. Whether its a Akra, Fabspeed, Megan or stock mod. The one thing that is clear in this thread is that we all EXTREMELY passionate about cars and our M's which is great and no matter what things I've said, I have respect for all of you guys on this Forum. Including you Cattivo

Hi, first time posting on here as i've just acquired a used 2012 X5M. Been doing my research about which choice of exhaust to go with and i do like how the Megan sounds but don't want to lose the valve option.
I had a pretty crazy thought (not sure if this has been discussed already) so humor me for moment, what if i purchase the megan, cut out the tips from the original exhaust but retain the valve part and weld it onto the megan? *got the flame suit on in case. Thanks |

Let us know how it goes with the sound. Full disclosure: I just picked up my X5M so I have NO IDEA what the valve looks like or where it's located LOL |
