Just get to know other BMW guys who are into modiffing their cars, they will usually know of a good mechanic, or be able to help you fix the issue. On your work order (or w.e its called) that you got from bmw it should say the name of the mechanic who worked on your car, look them up on facebook and see if they will do "side work"... i know a few "bmw master mechanics" that do side work for waaaaay less then dealer pricing.
