radiator leak on my 2008 X5 3.0 please help

This morning my coolant light came on and i add coolant to the top of the reserve tank, i drive the car for about 30 minute then the car srart to shake for 1 second and i see white steam under the hood then i stop immedity, I think is becuase i over fill the reserve tank, but not 100% sure. Then notice that there's dripping on the diverside lower coner of the radiator. I think is okay to drive the car home beacuse it's only 5 minute away, then i start car, no more steam or smoke and the car start and runs perfectly, no sign of engine light or coolant light. Will i damage my engine by drive it home (5 minutes away) Does any one know how much does the radiator cost? Can i intsall it myself? does anyone has the procedure how to remove and install it? Is this a common problem with the E70? Also i search on line there's a thing call K-seal that can fix the leak, Did anyone try that before? Thanks for your help

Yes, it's a common problem. I just had my radiator replaced because it was cracked. The plastic radiator is around $500 alone not including labor.

Also, do not put anything in the reservoir except BMW blue.

Hi Can I ask you questions?

HI BeBeqq1231!

Same here. I have same situation here.
Collant is leaking and dealer quote $1,500 for repair.
I thinking replacing it myself.
Can you please give me a part numbers to replace radiator?
do we need to replace all the hoses together?
Does it come with a installation instruction?
Thank you.

How did this go? My X5 just got the low fluid light and I topped it off and in 30 minutes it leaked onto the driveway. I know there is either a hose leak or radiator crack. How easy was it to replace as a DIY? I have done the S2000 and NSX by myself and looking at the X5 looks about the same difficulty wise.

Any tips?
