2011 x5. Iphone 7. How to stream music?
I cant connect the bluetooth to play music and the iphone lightning cable to usb also isnt being recognized. Is there something i can do or buy to get my music to play through the speakers?

My indy guy does it with his wife's X5. Whenever I see him next I will ask specifically if there is anything else to be done, or someone will chime in before I get a chance to ask, and confirm this all, or complete it.

This is the one I am using and it comes with everything you need. The only inconvenience is that since you are already connected to the vehicle's Bluetooth, it won't connect automatically.

I don't believe the 2011 SUV X5s have Bluetooth audio which this person covers though. I know mine doesn't and that's why there's other options to utilize. Now if you have the SAV, then I think that option is available. Correct me if I'm wrong

I've been using this in my August 2010 production date X5 LCI over an year and it's working great:
Bovee Bluetooth Car Kit for BMW and Mini Coopers - Android and iPhone Music Interface Adaptor for in car iPod Integration (WMA3000B USB / AUX connector) No cover art but music control from steering wheel works great with iPhone 6. |

Bmw cable + tune2air bt adapter. Will connect to the car automatically and works really well. I've had this setup in my m3 for years.
