Red interior that great?
Hey guys,
So I've been on the market for a 335i manual for a while now and since I've been trying to find it locally, it has not worked out for me. I told myself the only way I am getting a auto is if i get a 335is. Now that I found one, the only problem I have with it that it's not red interior. Its a blk on blk 335is with all the options i want and i was wondering for you red interior owners; how much do you really like it? Does the seat get any stains from your jeans or have to clean it often compare to the blk? Thank all for your response in advance. This will help me decide to wait or pull the trigger. |

You're buying a great car. Black/Black was my second choice. My friend had the red interior and I got sick of it fast and it wasn't even my car. But you can't go wrong either way.

hold out for the manual. It'll be worth it.

i love my red interior and will get it again on my next bimmer. it does show dirt and clothing die more than black interior would but the color really pops. i would say i clean my leather about once a month and it looks exactly as it did when new.
Goodluck finding what you're looking for!

They do? I've had nothing but black and never experienced that.

You might get some more info in these links...
https://www.google.ca/?gws_rd=cr&ei=...er+maintenance Also read this post. You'll be able to see how many cars were built for the options you're looking for. They made 42 black with MT and coral red interiors. You might be waiting a while. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=73

I have black on black Auto.
Its a 2007 and my daily driver. Black turns Grey on the outside....lol But on the inside it's still true black. Had quite a few black interior cars never seen one turn grey on the interior. Also, if you found a IS, wow, that is Rare. Now if you can't find a MT, you might be waiting years. That is soooo rare in IS. PS a friend if mine finally bought a 11 IS convert. AT. With 8k km on it and has CPO. And 3 time zones away. DN |

Hold out for the coral red interior, I've had two cars with it and both times it was a deal breaker option. Absolutely fantastic and it is the #1 compliment I receive on my car. Also, hold out for the 335is. I've had 3 BMW's prior, and this one blows them all out of the water.. including my 2007 335i. DCT is incredible

I like black interiors a lot and have never had a problem with any of them turning grey in any of my past BMW's, with that said, all 3 of my 335's have had reddish brown interior and I love it. I had 2 manual's and now I'm on an IS with DCT, its an amazing trans, way better than any SMG car and it will make your life around Fairfax a lot easier, just go drive on 66 or 495 at rush hour and you will only want DCT
As far as a must have for the Red, eh it is awesome but wouldn't make a deal breaker. I just looked at a 335is that was black on oyster, that my be my new favorite combo on that car, I wouldn't limit yourself until youve checked out a few more in person. |

I love my red interior. I also loved the black interior on my previous car.
I'd always choose the red over the black, but if I found a car I loved, the seat color would not keep me from buying it. Unless it was beige haha

Assuming that the leather is taken care of, things shouldn't turn any colors. As was also said, the red gets staining from clothing dye if it's not regularly taken care of as well.

At first I was against getting the red interior because I thought I might get sick of it after a short period of time but then I've been loving the red every single second since almost a year ago.
Plus, everyone else that sits in my car loves the red. |

I have Coral interior now and I love it. Everyone who gets in the car compliments the interior...even had people on the outside go out of their way to compliment it. It's easy to maintain and hold's up like any other interior. It took me 4 months to find the car the way I wanted with MT, X drive, Navi, and Coral interior (although I would've gotten saddle or black interior if the car was clean enough and had everything else) so I feel your pain. BUT, u can't go wrong with a black on black IS, especially if it has everything else you want, is in good condition, and is a good deal. If CR is a must have then wait on it cuz you be 100% happy in the end, but if you can live without it then get the one you found.

I can't believe how much I thought I liked my Coral Red interior yesterday. It pales in comparision to how much I like it today. I can only try to imagine how I am going to feel about it this time tomorrow.

I love my red interior and although it might be a little more matinence then black its nothing I would consider bad. I rarely notice and dirt on my red seats and much better looking than black or beige in my opinion. Honestly my two favorite things about my car even after some modding is the fact that it is AW/CR and a 6MT I love everything about it.
Don't settle for black, stand out a bit |

I ordered my car before ever setting eyes on one in real life. Coral red in the online configurator looked gawd awful. So I ordered black.
When I picked my car up in germany (euro-delivery), the car next to mine had coral red leather in it. Needless to say, I ended up kicking myself for 3 years before I finally bit the bullet and did an interior swap to coral red. Best decision ever. I absolutely love the coral red. Buy the car you want. Don't settle. I wouldn't have settled had I seen it in person. I was just nervous about buying a 50k car and absolutely hating an awful tone of red. |
