Error Code 2A7E (P0025) on X5M

I got the engine light on but later it fades out... the error code is 2A7E (P0025: "B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2)). The dealer does not have a clue on it. The car is running perfectly.

Any idea about it?

not sure on the code, but I did have a cam shaft position sensor replaced. Symptoms were rough idle.

The car has warranty so it went to the dealer and they replaced the parts:

11-36-7-598-002 VANOS Adjustment unit, outlet camshaft
11-36-7-594-346 Central Screw
11-12-7-566-289 Profile - Gasket
11-12-7-566-290 Gasket
11-12-7-566-281 Gasket

It is a big job! it involves to remove the intercoolers and the timing cover off, drain coolant fluid. Better do it under warranty.

Glad that the warranty is covered!

Also, what does "A" camshaft bank 1 mean? I am having difficulty to match "A" camshaft bank 1 on the real engine, a 2008 X5 3.0si.
