Don't like the rear badge at all, I think they could have been more subtle. I would gone either just door sills or maybe rocker panel decals that say "M competition" at the most
Fine with the blacked out trunk badge but doesn't need the tiny competition lettering |

For my "oldskool" M2 (2016) I could order the M2 Competition badge and tape off "com" and "ion": M2 petit.

It looks like the M2 and Competition are two separate parts, and not one combined badge. If I end up with an M2C, I will most likely de-badge the Competition and leave the M2.

Does it have a roll cage? If yes then ok. If not, then no 'competition'.

If one orders it, one can use the badging. I don't think it is anyone else's business whether one wants the badging or not.
This is entirely different from badging a car as something that it isn't. |

Hoping they also do an under-door light that says 'competition' ....and floor mats! and embroidered on the seats! Maybe they could even get Michelin to make tires with tread that would spell out "competition" on the pavement as you drive by. Can't get enough of this, really - now that we've ///M-badged everything from golf carts to delivery vans, there needs to be a new horizon.
And just waiting for the first smarty-pants insurance agent to realize that their policy specifically prohibits 'competition cars'. That would be fun to watch unfold in court. |
