Has anyone changed there rear lights?? ie red/black or red/clear.
Hi, I fitted the rear light seal gaskets to our 57 plate X5 due to a small amount of water ingress when we bought the car but unfortunately a month later the near side lamp has gone bad as it sometimes now goes dim or doesn't light at all.
I could just change that lamp or I could fit a complete set of tinted or clear lamps like below to change the look, I had the genuine BMW dark line lights on our E91 and they looked great but it seems that BMW only do them for the X3 and not the X5. Just wondered if anyone had changed there's?? as I have been looking on the net for pictures of an E70 with different rear lights but not had much luck, PS are X5 is black. |

Any views or pictures will be greatly appreciated, |

Martin I have seen one vehicle with this style of tail lights (multi LED) and I have to say that I didn't think it added anything to the vehicle but rather it lowered the overall standard.
My opinion is to replace with the original fitment or LCI update but not an independently styled aftermarket piece. |

My best advice would be to get a good set of LED lights from Depo. The biggest concern is popping codes when changing up the lights. Depo does not blow any codes to my knowledge.
