35d Air Filter and First Service Questions

Hi There,

I typically do most of my own oil changes and basic service tasks,

First oil change was at 1300 Miles and second was at 6k Miles, I will be doing them every 6k miles from now on.

Does anyone know what else bmw checks on at different service intervals?

I imagine the air filter should be replaced at every 16k miles, and likely the fuel filter at 20-40k on the diesels.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks,

Just had my first required service @ 12k miles. They didn't do much beside change the oil and topped off the Diesel Exhaust fluid as well as other fluid levels. They did do "vehicle condition report" and there was an extensive checklist associated with that. Took two hours for the whole thing.
Your dealer should be able to provide you with that checklist as well as list of what gets changed at what interval.

Why would you do your own oil changes when BMW includes ALL service maintenance for the first 4 years in the price of the vehicle?
