CCC Unit help

Help needed,
I recently got a 2008 e70 and there is literally no sound coming from the cars interior. I’ve tested the modules with a byepass loop and I’m confident it’s the ccc unit that’s dead as my cd changer in the glove box isn’t getting a red light on the fibre optic cable and I’d imagine that would be the first module from thee ccc. ( it’s also freezing on the radio screen)
What are my options before replacing the ccc with another eg, cic, android screen etc. also will a different ccc unit need coding?

i have a brand new CCC Android unit that i bought for my x5 but i needed a CIC I'm selling it for $250, I have the CIC unit install if you would like to see what it looks like.
