Anyone have success enabling Variable Light Control and Anti-Dazzle?
Hi guys, new to the forum and my US 2011 X6M. I was wondering if anyone had successfully enabled the Variable Light Control on their car. I have seen many discussions online, but clear answer.
Thanks in advance! Chris |

You can't enable the anti-dazzle on your 2011 X6M because they only had a highbeam assist sensor below the rearview mirror. Also that sensor it isn't a camera and unable to distinguish between oncoming headlights in traffic. You'll need a car with a Lane departure warning stereoscopic camera that will also allow you to get frontal collision warning.

The E71 chassis does not have the equipment to enable these newer features. The High Beam assist does in fact have a camera, just not the correct one and there is no software built in to enable the variable light control. Remember the E70/E71 date back to 2007/2008.
