2006 X5
I am thinking about purchasing a 2006 X5 3.0 AWD. Asking Price $24895. The carfax is clean. It has 43,321 miles on it. It has lived in Florida since new. Had all of it's Service done. I will demand the next service due be done. The SUV looks great inside and out. I know a thing or two about cars so I can do a through look over myself. Looks to be a base X5 no real bells or whistles. So is this a "good" price. I don't plan on buying a extended warranty they are expensive for a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty from vehicle purchase date. I am looking at $2700-$4000. Double the price for a 5 year 60,000 mile. I would hope BMW's are not that unreliable to where I would have to spend that much to fix it over the next 3-5 years. How reliable is the X-5? All comments would be much appreciated.

Bump.
I have the same question. Same vehicle and mileage, similar price but has been operated by my BMW SA who I have known for years and is very detail oriented. Vehicle owned by BMW Dealership.
