What's your input on warranty?

I have a 2011 X5 50i in which the maintenance warranty is soon to expire. I have a the CPO warranty but I'm wondering if that is enough. What could go wrong with my X5 that wouldn't be covered in CPO warranty? What are the exclusions for CPO? Is the extended maintenance warranty worth for me to buy? My dealer quoted me $2,200 for 2 year/50K miles. Anyone here buy the extended maintenance warranty and get your money worth? The only major thing this covers is breaks/rotors which can be pricey. Anyone know how much brakes go for on the X5? Let me know what you guys would do and if I should be worried about the CPO warranty. Does it cover enough?

Thanks for your help ,

John

I believe (others, please correct) that CPO = GOLD plan here:

I think you'll be just fine with CPO if something happens that isn't covered under CPO you just have terrible luck.

As others stated, the CPO is essentially the same as the original, just extended out further. Earlier models (I think 2009 and older) had a crappy CPO warranty, which basically covered nothing. The new CPO is much better.

Not quite like original. For example, CPO does not cover Navigation and Entertainment system.

You can purchase the CPO Wrap to add navigation and entertainment coverage:
