Nav update DVD

supplied with my 2008 X6 came the original 2008 DVD for the navigation system (which works fine) and the dealer threw in the latest 2013 disk set as part of the purchase price for the car.

I've inserted updated DVD 'one' into the drive and the system isn't recognising the disk.

Anyone know the correct part code for the latest professional DVD for my model? is there alternative DVDs available depending on the navigation system? I'm wondering if they have sent the wrong type.

part No 65 90 2 304 649

I've just bought 2008 X5 (E70) and I seem to be having some issues with the Navigation...

When I start the vehicle or re-insert the Nav DVD, the unit shows my current location. As soon as I set off on a trip nothing happens, it just sticks with my original point of origin.

I have ordered and new 2014 DVD form http://www.satnavupgrades.co.uk , might help you BIGOZUK, very good reviews, clearly states which disc for which vehicle and cheap enough to take a punt on.

If anyone can help with my issue also I'd be keen to hear back. The antenna must be connected for it to find my position... or am I just being really dense and missing something very obvious?

If you dig in the E90Post, you can find the downloadable 2014 disc (bootleg version).
I had 2008 M3 and every year, I was downloading new map disc and used it.

How did it work out with that company?
