New guy here: 2011 E70 LCI 35i

New to X5 E70, found one I liked locally, decided to pick it up for the wife since we were looking for a bigger car for the family. Here is what I did and planned to do so far. Just got it back from my good friend who did a full paint detail, paint correction and Optic Coat to bring back the shine.

Done: full paint detail, paint correction, Optic Coat, full interior LED, license plate light LED, reverse LED light, front license plate bracket, matte black front kidney grille

On order: running board, aluminum pedal set, painted front reflector

Plan to do: upgrade headlight bulb(Orsam CBI), AE LED(LUX), fog light LED(Diode Dynamics xml2), wheel arch flare, front and rear aero kit, 20" wheel and tire, wrap all interior dark brown wood rim to piano black, add some silver accent/trim, may be muffler delete(will see), full front end clear bra, smoke clear piece on tail light, should be more after all these, haha

Congrats! Lot of potential here. I wouldn't waste money on the LED angel eyes. You'll get a really bright inner corona and a weak outer one. Doesn't look great.

Your best upgrades will be the fender flares, 20" staggered wheels and painting the black plastic trim...

Thanks P1et, also want to change out the front turn signal to white LED, but couldn't find any switchback(stay on white, flash amber). I don't mind it flashes white, but local cop may not like it, haha. I just hate the amber when stay on with parking light or HID headlight.

You can code the amber corner lights to stay off when the headlights are on. I have done that and they only turn on when I unlock my car or use the signal.

Cool, didn't know that, do you mind to show me pic at night with low beam on and signal off, want to see how it looks at night. Thanks

Truck looks nice and clean...like P1et said, color match all the black trim and get a set of staggered wheels/tires. The headlight design on these trucks sucks! the brightest bulb you can replace the OE bulb with is the Lux H8 160($200) or do a full LED headlight retrofit($$$)

here you go, basically the corner lights don't turn on until I signal. not really night, but just picture the corner amber light not there on yours.

And just think some 2011's got the LCI headlights. Really sucks they didn't make them available to all that year.
