X5 M50d in Workshop - Repairs
Well had my M50d for a couple months now, done 3,500klm. Everytime on the weekend when I gone up to the beach house, about an hour into the trip going up and also coming back I get a "DSC and xDrive Malfunction"
There is no loss of power but I do loose the cruise control, stop & go etc, if I stop & restart the X5 everything resets, then in happens again after about another 30mins. The techs think its the steering angle sensor, its at the dealer this morning so I will know in a couple of hours. The strange thing is it only happens on long trips on straight parts of the hwy at hwy speed.

I had that message happen once after loading vehicle with stuff to go camping. Exact same message and symptoms. I didn't get concerned too much, since I have read about it, and kept driving. After restarting the vehicle, the message was gone. Never happened again..

Ok, got my X5 back, was the steering angle sensor, so it all fixed.
The dealer also said they need the X5 back next week for a recall on the replacement of a exhaust sensor replacement, not sure if this is for all diesels or just the M50d engines?
