I've thought about the flash drive option, but playlists don't work as well (or at all?), it's one more thing to remember to update when you add new music to your library on your PC, and of course you can't pull from Pandora that way.
Playlists can be tricky on a flash drive, but once you know what's going on, it's easy. Basically, the car memorizes the directories of flash drives, but can only keep four such drives in memory at a time. You have to have four USB sticks (any size) with one song on them. Plug them in one at a time, wait for the car to recognize the one song, then do the same with the other three. Once that's done, you can plug in the actual (much larger sized) USB you want, and it will replace one of the four simple USBs in memory. It may take a couple of drives for everything on the larger USB to be recognized. Playlists take the longest -- and you can't have a playlist with more than 1500-2000 songs (exact amount unknown). Once it's recognized, you're set. Album art, playlists, and as many 256kbps, 320kbps or whatever kbps mp3 files you can fit on a 128GB stick. If you do add new music, you'll generally have to go through the 4 USB stick routine again, but it's worth it. There is currently no better or more convenient way to have music in your car. Not streaming, not hooking up your phone.

I haven't explained it as well as I could, but a guy in the F10 forum on another site wrote up a guide (applies to all Combox BMWS, not just F10s) which is quite thorough. I've attached it here.
JasW, what's the link? Thanks.

They're available in Europe or through European ebay sellers.

Not sure why it's taking so long to get them here.

Wonder if this is going to cost 149+ like the previous cradles. If so, I hope it acts as a good case too. Would hate to have to pull the phone in and out like the previous cradles. Wireless charging is a nice convenience though and it won't take up so much space like the previous system.

I just don't see the utility of this feature. So lets say a person drops $3450 on the Bowers and Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System for the car. Are they going to squirt all their audio to that system using Bluetooth Audio? Yich! To get the best sound output, you've got to use the native audio-out (lightening port on bottom of iPhone). So why bother charging wirelessly?

And, of course, Apple just introduced iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus -- both phones are just slightly (almost imperceptibly) thicker and taller than their predecessors. I'm betting the BMW wireless charging case won't fit the new iPhones, and that it'll be months and months before they make one available that will fit (just as we waited forever for a snap-in adapter during the iPhone 5s to iPhone 6 transition). They'll be juuusssst a teeny bit too small (which will be frustrating).

Eschew the wireless charging and snap-in adapter by simply plugging in via Lightening / USB.

Enables the Apple iPhones to be charged wirelessly. The case also allows charging in combination with all BMW wireless charging special equipment, accessories and Qi enabled inductive chargers.

I have an S7 so I was looking at the actual charging unit. Any idea if that is available separately? I saw the option is pretty expensive on a build so I'm guessing it'll be equally expensive as a retrofit.

You might be able to figure a way of integrating the desktop charging pad and plug it into your existing USB port?

Edit: scroll down they have a car pad that hooks to the vent like a KENO holder

http://www.mophie.com/shop/juice-pac...-iphone-6-plus

This case should be an alternative to the BMW case plus it's sold w/a desktop charing pad unlike the BMW case but does cost more. I haven't round a list of "compatible" devices other than "Qi enabled..."

Well I posted a while ago. What I ended up doing is getting a little net from ebay thats held on by adhesive strips and then I ordered a Qi charger unit that is just the charging rings and the board and I was going to see if I can make it work. I spent like $30 on the supplies so if I fail it's not a huge loss.
